Wild Atlantic Way

What is better than finding one of your favourite hotels on Living Social, and then getting a Valentine’s Day upgrade when you book!?  Our little escape was perfectly timed in the middle of a lot of change for Team Brown (if you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know that we had a very unexpected house move which has turned out to be totally wonderful…and then Dan got TWO new jobs! Hello!) So it was lovely to get away and take a deep breath. Donegal is, in my opinion, one of the best places to do that.

We love the Wild Atlantic Way, and managed to fit in 3 parts in the 24 hours we were there. First up was Malin Head, which is the most northernly point of Ireland.

On the way back down from Malin Head, we came across this little Curiosity Shop with the most amazing view.

Not too far away from Malin Head is Five Finger Strand. If anyone knows why it’s named that way, please get in touch. Until then, enjoy these snaps…

We did a lot of driving and podcasting on our trip, enjoying the light in all its different forms…how tropical does this scene look?!

And then our final stop was Pollan Bay. The colours were just stunning.

What are your favourite beaches? I’d love to know…we’re always looking for more places to visit. Find me on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter and let’s swap recommendations!
